1. Business Identity

MacDNS is developed and operated by Marcus Grando, a sole proprietor. All references to "we", "us", or "our" in these Terms refer to Marcus Grando.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MacDNS ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Install and use the Software on up to two (2) Mac computers
  • Use the Software for personal or commercial purposes
  • Receive updates during your active license period

4. License Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Share, redistribute, or resell the Software or license keys
  • Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
  • Use the Software to violate any laws or regulations
  • Use a single license on more than two (2) devices
  • Circumvent license validation or activation mechanisms

5. Subscription License and Payments

5.1 Pricing

MacDNS is offered as an annual subscription license at the current price displayed on our website. Prices may change, but any changes will not affect your current paid license period.

5.2 Free Trial

We offer a 21-day free trial. No payment information is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial, you must purchase a subscription license to continue using the Software.

5.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. Dodo Payments is the legal seller for checkout, payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance, fraud checks, and refund processing. MacDNS remains licensed to you by us. By making a purchase, you also agree to Dodo Payments' Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy.

5.4 Renewal

Subscription licenses renew automatically every year unless cancelled at least 48 hours before the end of the current billing period. Renewal billing is processed by Dodo Payments. To cancel renewal, contact support@macdns.app with your order number and the email address used for the purchase.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day refund policy on MacDNS purchases. If you are not satisfied with MacDNS, contact us within 30 days of purchase. Refunds may be refused in cases of fraud, refund abuse, policy violations, or manipulative behavior. Refund requests should be sent to support@macdns.app.

7. Updates and Support

During your active subscription license period:

  • You will receive all software updates at no additional cost
  • Blocklists are updated automatically
  • Email support is available for technical issues

If your subscription license expires, is cancelled, or cannot be renewed because payment fails, the Software will stop working until you renew your license.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Software will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • The Software will block all ads, malware, or unwanted content
  • The blocklists will be complete or accurate
  • The Software will be compatible with all network configurations

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Software or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the Software immediately ends
  • You must uninstall and delete all copies of the Software
  • No refund will be provided for violations of these Terms

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on our website. Your continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Software and supersede all prior agreements.
